Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial major honor of his notable career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
