I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
